Emporia: Named after the Kansas town where my parents met.

Meng: My heritage as the 77th generation descendant of the philosopher Mencius.

With deep roots in both Malaysia and China, I’ve called the United States home for the past decade, living in Connecticut, upstate New York, and now NYC. Here, I co-founded EMPI DREAM, a funded, expert- and science-backed beta app for lucid dreaming, and Sense of Agency, a NYC-based marketing agency specializing in digital and social strategy.

Throughout my career, I’ve taken on roles within the luxury fashion, adtech, and luxury real estate industries, working with brands such as NPR, Vera Wang, Brown Harris Stevens, Ports 1961, and more. My academic background includes an M.S. in Information Management with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction, and a B.S. in Advertising with a focus on Account and Project Management, as well as a minor in Art Photography. Committed to continuous learning and nonprofit work, I aim to make a positive impact in every project I take on.
